DockTour Expands Healthcare Access in South Sudan

Phase 1: Establishing Core Outpatient and Emergency Services
The first phase introduced essential outpatient services including general medicine, surgery, pediatrics, ENT, and orthopedics, supported by a 24-hour Emergency Department, along with laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology capabilities.
Phase 2: Expanding Inpatient and Critical Care Capacity
The second phase was accelerated to address urgent community needs, adding 40 inpatient beds, an Intensive Care Unit, and a fully equipped Operating Theatre, significantly strengthening service capacity and clinical capability. Despite limited resources, the hospital supported response efforts during recent malaria and cholera outbreaks. With a team of 94 healthcare professionals, the facility also contributes to public health initiatives through vaccination programs and planned malaria intervention activities, reinforcing its role as an important regional healthcare center.
